Ireland is one of the world’s greatest photographic locations. The spectacular landscape and unpredictable weather can combine to produce some of the most amazing light and conditions for producing landscape images. It can also make for an exciting but daunting photographic challenge.

By attending our photography tours you will experience some of the most amazing locations of Ireland’s Southwest, at the optimum time to capture the spectacular scenery. These are result based tours and we will review images regularly to see how you are progressing while offering advice and information as you go.

The aim of this trip is to immerse yourself in the Irish landscape and culture. There will be many opportunities to experience the Irish lifestyle and document these as we travel.
I will be helping to improve your skills, cutting through the photography myths and getting to the heart of the matter. It can be as simple as just getting out there and doing it.  I will offer advice as we travel, by explaining my methods of shooting and how I get the results I do.

I have been creating landscape images of Ireland for over 15 years now. I know the best locations both mainstream and never seen. We will be taking the scenic route and getting to locations you simply will not find without local knowledge.

On this trip you will be encouraged to produce great work and develop your own photographic style. I will be there to offer expertise and guidance along the way.

Typical 2 night itinerary:

Friday

AM – Arrive Kenmare, Check in to accomodation.
6 PM – Welcome to Kenmare meeting at Skyline Gallery. Guests will be invited to discuss their expectations for the weekend ahead, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
Stay: Kenmare

Saturday

AM – Early pick up for sunrise shoot. Location to be advised.
- Post shoot breakfast near location
- Followed by 2nd shoot, this will include the opportunity to scout a location for Sunday’s fieldwork.
Lunch – Break for lunch in Kenmare
- Free time to explore this award winning heritage town.
4 PM – Depart Skyline gallery for sunset shoot, location to be advised.
PM – Dinner and drinks back in Kenmare
Stay: Kenmare

Sunday

AM – Early pick up for sunrise shoot at our chosen location.
- Followed by breakfast back in Kenmare
- We will head back to Skyline to discuss and review images achieved over the weekend and reccomend image processing techniques.
- Finally a farewell Sunday lunch.

On our extended 5 and 7 night tours we will be visiting some of the most beautiful locations including:

The Beara Pennisula, The Ring of Kerry, The Skellig Islands, Dingle, Valentia Island and Killarney National Park.

There will be a mixture of Sunrise and sunset shoots, we will travel between locations during the day, there will also be plenty of time for rest and relaxation learning photography tips and techniques along the way. You will have ample opportunity to sample the Irish culture.

We will be exploring some of the most remote landscape Ireland has to offer. You will have a unique experience and a lot of fun on this tour.
