A retrospective of the past 20 years of work by landscape photographer Eoghan Kavanagh as seen in the Skyline Gallery.
20 years ago, I headed west.
Skyline is a book of Irish landscapes that I have taken over the past two decades. I began putting it together as a way to study where I’ve been and to learn where I want to go next. As I edited this book, I started to realise that this was not only a book of my images from the past 20 years, but also a collection of memories.
20 years ago, I headed west. I ended up in Co. Kerry and this is where I did my first serious landscapes. But my approach to my work has essentially remained the same from that day to this. That’s why when I look at this collection of images there is a story of my past, present and future, and thats how the book is presented.
The Skelligs Book is a collection of images from my first visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Skellig Islands.
It was a collaboration with film maker Evan Payne.
We produced a limited edition book of 500 copies which are now sold out.
